Charles J. Roesslein - CEO

Charles J. Roesslein retired as an officer of SBC Communications, Inc. (SBC) with over 30 years of service.
Charles held a wide variety of network, operations, strategic planning, corporate development, finance and executive positions at SBC. In addition, Charles held the positions of Vice President-Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, Vice President-General Manager for Southwestern Bell’s St. Louis Market Area, Vice President-CIO for SBC, Vice President-Strategic Planning for SBC, President and CEO of SBC Technology Resources, President of SBC CATV and Chairman and CEO of Prodigy Communications Corporation in his 30 year tenure at SBC.
A native of St. Louis, Missouri Charles holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a MBA in finance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Charles is a member of the Engineering Foundation Advisory Council of the University of Texas at Austin, the Dean’s Engineering Advisory Council at the University of Missouri and the board of directors of The Austin Symphony. He is also a member of the board of directors of National Instruments, Atlantic Tele-Network Inc. and Quovadx Inc. He is a member of the Financial Executives Institute, The American Society of Mechanical Engineers and The National Society of Professional Engineers.
Kirk Miller - President

Kirk Miller co-founded Austin Tele-Services after having held leadership positions in the broadband and communications industries since 1984.
Before Austin Tele-Services, Kirk helped launch Envenergy in Santa Barbara, California. Kirk was Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Envenergy, a technology company delivering real-time facility information securely across the internet and private networks. Prior to Envenergy, Kirk was Vice President of Sales at ViaLight Corporation in Seattle. Kirk led their efforts in securing and negotiating fiber to the user (FTTU) joint venture agreements with major developers, energy utilities and communication companies. These joint ventures focused on the deployment of commercial and residential broadband networks and services. From 1995-2000, Kirk led Cabletron System’s Western US Telco sales efforts. He was responsible for executive level management of the SBC, Qwest, GTE and Microsoft accounts. His teams coordinated large multi-state deployments of communication equipment and network management services.
Kirk is experienced in the Fortune 500 sales arena and has a strong focus on customer satisfaction. He attended The School of Petroleum Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin.
Jay Bock - Vice President of Sales
Jay Bock is Vice President of Sales at Austin Tele-Services. Jay leads sales and transactional efforts responsible for national accounts, strategic carrier accounts and the enterprise market. Bock also works closely with the President and CEO to shape corporate strategy and oversee operations in an effort to maintain the highest quality standards, ensure customer satisfaction and maximize efficiency in the back office processes.
Jay held key sales and marketing positions for two Telecom solution providers previous to ATS. Prior to this he worked in banking for Federal City Capital Advisers based in New York and Washington D.C. providing support for public and private placements and mergers and acquisitions. Jay earned his B.A. in History from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
